A lamassu (winged bull with human head), reclining in profile to the right. The wings are recurved and the head is male, bearded and moustached. Above is a muddled inscription, read by Bivar as presumably 'pst/'n L y(zdty), Reliance on God. The oblique stork is intended to mark the division in the legend.
