Description

Large pewter salt and cover. Of hourglass form, and dome cover with baluster finial.
Marked with a wheel.

Fake, 17th century style. Antonio de Navarro had the cover made for this piece, by Isher.

Notes

History note: Well known among collectors to be a modern fake. The donor obtained the item from the forgers, in good faith.
