Description

Pewter salt. Truncated cone with central depression. Wrigglework initials WN and 1666 in a shield.
Marked WP 63 in a circle.

Determined a fake by the Pewterer's Society, 1953. The salt is made from new metal, and the mark has been mentioned by others as being a fake. Style of the 17th century
