Pewter,with the Blakiston-Calvert coat-of-arms engraved on the rim, and reeded edge. Circular with broad rim and shallow well, with a large circular repair off-centre.
History note: Sir William Blakiston, 2nd Baronet and his wife Mary Calvert (m. between 1661-4); by descent to Lady Maud Bowes Lyon, Broadway, Worcestershire; Alfred Jessup (her nephew); lent by him to the husband of Mrs Dorothy de Navarro with instructions that it should be given to the Fitzwilliam after his death.

John Redshaw was apprenticed first to Bartholomew Vokins in 1672 and then to Walter Sturt in 1673. He was free of the Pewterer's Company on 18 December 1679, set up shop on 11 August 1681, and struck his touch on the same date.
The pewter repair in the middle bears the mark of Laurence Harvey, possibly the man born on 23 January 1659 at Wigan, Lancashire, His son Edmund, was born in Stockton-on-Tees on 27 October 1698, and Laurence died there on 9 February 1714.

Inscription present: two indecipherable and unrecorded marks followed by lion passant and probably leopard's head
