Horn with miniature of flowers and a covered vase
Horn set with a miniature in watercolour on card, mounted under glass in gold. The circular box has straight sides and an almost flat pull-off lid with a mount of chased or stamped yellow gold anda blue enamelled border. At the top and base of the sides are bands of reeded red gold. The circular miniature depicts a basket of flowers including roses, delphiniums, poppies, auriculas, narcissi, and morning glory, and a two-handled covered vase, on the corner of a marble slab.
