Description

There are two versions of the Agrippan Sibyl ascribed to Rosselli. The Illustrated Bartsch Commentary volume states: 'In every respect, the figure of the sibyl is a kind of twin sister to the second version of 'The Cimmerian Sibyl'. The engraving also corresponds precisely to second versions of the prophets 'Amos' and 'Obadiah'. All four prints are surely much later than the original versions of their respective subjects and may well have been executed by an assistant in the Rosselli workshop'.
