Tortoise-shell with miniature of a wicker basket of flowers

Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gilt metal. The rectangular box has straight sides with a gilt metal hinge and chased thumbpiece. The rectangular miniature depicts a wicker basket of flowers, including roses, tulips, poppies, narcissi and auriculas, on a marble slab.
