Tortoise-shell with miniature of flowers in a stone vase and a bird and nest
Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in watercolour and bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gold. The circular box has slightly concave sides and a flat pull-off lid with gold rim mounts. The circular miniature depicts a carved stone urn of flowers, including roses and tulips, beside which stand a yellow bird and bird's nest, all on a marble slab.
