Soft-paste porcelain cream jug, transfer-printed underglaze in blue, and gilt. The bucket-shaped jug has a sparrow beak spout, scrolled handle, sides moulded with vertical flutes, and stands on an undercut foor-ring. Transfer-printed with the 'Temple' pattern, the interior with a broad diaper border in Chinese style, the rim and bases banded with gilt lines.

Many blue and white wares were sent to the Chamberlains at Worcester for gilding, and the correspondence for 13th August, 1789, mentions 'Temple best teas'. See documentation, p. 50.
