Description

Soft-paste porcelain dish, moulded and painted in enamels Kakiemon style with 'Red Tiger' pattern

Soft-paste porcelain dish, of moulded oval silver-shape, the glaze opacified with tin-oxide, painted in blue, green, yellow, red and black enamel colours and gilt in Kakiemon style with the 'Red Tiger' pattern. On the left, prunus and a tall bamboo entwined by a red dragon; the tiger stands on the right looking up at the dragon. On the reverse, the foot-ring has been ground flat and there are three spur marks.
