Soft-paste porcelain fob seal, painted in pale green, pale yellow, puce, red, brown and black enamels. A pierrot holding a hurdy-gurdy sits on a green rock or tree stump on an oval base inscribed in red capitals 'TANTOT HAUT TANTOT BAS'. The base is set in an oval gilt-metal mount with an uncut carnelian or red glass seal. A small suspension is attached to the musician's back by means of a pin inserted into the porcelain.
