Description

Bronze, cast. Grotesque figure of a wingless, long-legged bird-like creature. It has a bird-like head and scrawny outstretched neck, beak open wide, the body of a snail and the legs akin to those of an ostrich.

History note: With Cecil Leitch & Kerin by Dec. 1937 when sold to Lt. Col. the Hon. M.T. Boscawen, DSO, MC; bequeathed to his sister, the Hon. Mrs Pamela Sherek
