Carver: Unknown
This greyish green deep dish has a lively three-dimensional carving of two cat-fish at its centre. They swirl about each other among a spray of reeds, which rises up the sides of the dish. The outer surface is decorated with egrets searching for fish in a lotus pond. The design of this dish was probably inspired by Longquan ceramics dating to Yuan dynasty
