Description

Hard red earthenware with black lead-glaze. Pear-shaped wtih curved spout, loop handle, high domed cover with silver knob attached by a chain to silver casings on the handle and spout.

Notes

History note: B.T. Harland Collection; Puttick & Simpson, 12 October 1924, Ralph Wood, Whieldon and Astbury Pottery, lot 16, identified as Jackfield, unsold and therefore passed to Dr Glaisher who bought the next lot
