Kneeling Hercules Upholding the Globe
Sculptor: Severo di Ravenna (Workshop of)
Bronze, cast, with brown patina, slightly polished. Nude Hercules kneels on his right knee and supports the globe (now missing) on his right shoulder with his right hand - the spike on which the globe fitted still projects from his right shoulder. His bearded head is turning upwards and he steadies himself with his left hand touching the ground.
