Description

Very pale greenish boulder, worked up into form of courtier standing in respectful attitude. This jade figure (Cat.101) is modelled on a Han burial figure made of pottery and painted with colours. Although the proportions match those of the original pottery figure, no such large jade figure has been found in any period of Chinese history
