Description

Silver-gilt; the plain V-shaped bowl on a knopped stem and foot set with three enamelled plaques

Silver-gilt; the V-shaped bowl is supported on a narrow cylindrical stem with large central knop. Above and below the flattened fluted circular knop are bands pierced with a quatrefoil design. The low trumpet-shaped foot is embossed and chased with scrolling foliage and is set with three coloured enamel silver plaques, probably representing Christ, the Virgin Mary and St. John.
