Description

One of four plates, two for the sides with cut-outs for the arms, and rectangular front and rear plates. Each plate has two trapezoid strap loops retaining fragments of the original crimson velvet covered leather straps, at the right and two trapezoid buckles at the left. The front plate has two buckles at the top, the rear two strap loops and strap fragments at the top. The plates are lined with crimson velvet edged with cream coloured cotton tape. All elements of the armour are decorated in gold koftgari with spindly foliage, forming an overall diaper pattern on the central areas, with floral borders.
