Peasant sowing Corn

Hard-paste porcelain painted in blue, green, pale yellow, flesh pink, red, brown, grey, and black enamels and a little gold. The peasant strides along scattering corn with his right hand, supported by a large white sack of corn by his right side, in front of which stands another small sack, on a low white circular based tinged with green and yellow. With his left hand he supports seed corn lying in a thick white cloth, slung over his left shoulder and under his right arm, knotted behind him.
He wears a black three cornered hat over his long grey hair, a sleeveless red-lined waistcoat, a white shirt, pale yellow breeches, white stockings, and black shoes with gold buckles.
