Hard-paste porcelain painted in enamels
Hard-paste porcelain, press-moulded, and painted overglaze in pale blue, green, yellow, flesh-pink, pale red, pale and dark purple, yellowish-brown, brown, and black enamels. The underside is convex in the middle, and has a large ventilation hole on the viewer's left. The figure stands on a low, circular base with a rock at the front, and on the viewer's left, a tree stump streaked with green, blue, yellow and brown.. The youth has blonde hair, partly covered by a green hat with the brim turned up at the front, and has the remains of a feather behind it. He wears a white shirt, a white jacket and breeches scattered with small dark purple circlesand lined with pale blue; pale purple stockings and yellow shoes with grey buckles. He steps forward on his right leg and has his left extended behind him. His left arm is bent and the back of the hand rests on his hip. His right arm is extended and has a bird blue and purple bird perching on his wrist.

The figure was accessioned as Venetian and was reattributed to Le Nove by Arthur Lane in August, 1952. It was probably modelled by the same modeller as C.3215-1928.
