Stoneware with cream and orange shino glaze
Pale buff stoneware, thrown, beaten, and facetted, with coiled shoulder covered with with greyish-cream and orange shino glaze except for the base which has five rectangular impressed outlines on it. The bottle is approximately rectangular in plan with eight shallow facets on the sides, almost flat shoulder and cylindrical neck with cup-shaped mouth. The glaze is greyish-cream, speckled and crazed at the top, and various shades of pale brown to orange-red on the lower part.
