Description

Bronze. A squat-shaped mortar with inlaid decoration of white metal. Round the waist twelve wedge shaped bosses or lugs, 1 3/4 ins. in length, arranged to alternately taper upwards and downwards, in between each lug a leaf design in white metal, round the base a fret border, at the top a double fret border separated by a plain narrow panel.
