Description

White earthenware, moulded and decorated underglaze with a multicolour transfer print. On the top 'The Duke of Wellington', in armchair, without sash, inscribed 'THE LATE DUKE OF/WELLINGTON' and 'OBIIT', 'SEP 14' and '1852'; marbled outer border. After a daguerreotype by Antoine Claudet.
