On top of lid 'The Interior of the Grand International Building of 1851'; border of a yellow line between narrow black lines; white surround inscribed 'THE INTERIOR OF THE GRAND INTERNATIONAL BUILDING OF 1851' and 'For the Exhibition of Art and Industry of all Nations.'
