On top of lid 'Walmer Castle Kent', with sentry, inscribed 'WALMER CASTLE KENT'; border of two black lines; black key plate. Interior printed in black 'Tatnell & Son/MANUFACTURERS/PEGWELL BAY/Nr RAMSGATE' within two oval lines.
