Description

White earthenware, moulded, decorated with coloured transfer prints under a clear crazed glaze. Blue, yellow and red with a brown key plate. Circular with a sloping rim and flat central area. 'I Consent She Replied', girl bareheaded, after Frank Stone, inscribed 'I CONSENT SHE REPLIED IF YOU PROMISE' and 'THAT NO JEALOUS RIVAL SHALL LAUGH ME TO SCORN'. Encircled by a blue line under the lettering, a gilt line and narrow leaf and dart border; red enamel ground; gilt line on the edge of the rim.
