Green jasper etui with gilt metal mounts and diamond clasp
Jasper, gilt metal and diamond; shaped rectangular in section with tapering sides and hinged lid. The etui is made of green jasper flecked with red. Round the top and bottom of the lid and base are gilt metal mounts chased with rocaille decoration, scrolls, flowers and floral swags. In the centre of the slightly domed lid is a small swivel handle. The sprung catch is operated by a button which is set with a brilliant cut diamond. The interior of the lid is fitted with a gilt metal lining. The top of the divider in the base is of gilt metal; it would have contained six implements which are now missing.
