Navette-shaped tortoise shell box mounted in gold with a pressed horn plaque of a female head

Tortoise shell mounted in gold; the lid set with a pressed horn (or composition) oval plaque of a female head in a gilt metal mount; the interior of the lid set with a mirror. The pointed oval (navette-shaped) box has straight sides and flat lid with gold rim mounts and a gold recessed hinge near one end.
