Description

Telescopic spy glass in gilt bronze chased with floral borders

Two glass lenses set in chased gilt bronze. Cylindrical, telescopic action of seven tiers. The eyepiece on the smallest tier and the side of the largest tier (which forms the case) are deeply chased with a wide border of flowerheads and leaves. The side of the eyepiece is engraved 'W. Hawks Grice / late Fraser / Bond St, London'.
