Silver, parcel-gilt and niello, rectangular; the lid decorated with a vignette of a couple.
Silver, parcel-gilt and niello, rectangular with integral hinge. The flat cover is nielloed with a vignette of a man playing bagpipes to a seated woman in a rustic landscape with a ruined folly in the background; all within a rococo border and on a matt gilt ground. The base is similarly decorated but depicts a temple in a rustic landscape. The sides are decorated with a geometric pattern resembling barns and a chequered fence or pavement. The interior is gilt.
