Description

Silver, parcel-gilt and niello, rectangular with integral hinge. The lid in nielloed with a view of the Kremlin. The sides and base are nielloed with a chequered pattern, except immediately under the thumbpiece where there is a vacant shield-shaped cartouche. The interior is gilt.
