Description

Gold rectangular case of roughened texture set with two diamonds and a ruby

Gold, cast, chased, and set with diamonds and rubies. Rectangular with straight sides and almost flat lid with flush hinge and projecting thumbpiece. The surface is chased with a roughened 'samorodok' (nugget-like) texture. Set in the top right corner of the lid is a diamond with two incised lines ratiating out to another diamond and a pear-shaped ruby. The projecting thumbpiece is set with six pavé set rectangular rubies.
