Silver-gilt; circular sacramental wafer box chased on the lid 'IHS'
Siver-gilt, punched and chased. Circular with straight sides and slightly domed base and hinged cover. Sacred Monograms are chased on the lid, 'IHS', and the base 'XPS'; both are on a punched scale-work ground and within a chased wavy border. On the opposite side to the hinge is a simple catch of similar form to the hinge with three knuckles. Set at right-angles to the hinge and catch a ring is soldered to the side.
