Description

White earthenware, moulded, decorated with coloured transfer prints under a very slightly bluish, crazed glaze. Blue, yellow and red with a brown key plate. Circular with a sloping rim and flat central area. 'Vue de la Ville de Strasbourg Prise du Port', inscribed 'VUE DE LA VILLE DE STRASBOURG PRISE DU PORT'. Encircled by narrow ivy leaf and loop border between two gilt lines; outer 'harebell' border with a gilt line on the edge of the rim.
