White earthenware, moulded, decorated with coloured transfer prints under a slightly blue, crazed glaze. Blue, yellow and red with a brown key plate. Circular with a sloping rim and flat central area. 'The Cavalier' after a combined print by Herring, Baxter and Bright, inscribed 'THE CAVALIER'. Encircled by a gilt line over dots; outer border 123 with three gilt lines.
