Desk seal with lapis lazuli sealstone and carved coral column with gold terminal cast as Cupid
Lapis lazuli and carved coral with cast and chased gold terminal and mounts. Circular lapis lazuli sealstone, not engraved; the mount with moulded borders. Cylindrical coral handle carved with a frieze of Cupid holding an inverted torch in his right hand while leading a dog ridden by another cupid. Above is a flared mount with an applied border of fleurs-de-lis and rope edged border. The terminal in the form of Cupid holding a quiver behind his back and with his ankle chained to a tree stump.
