Description

Stove tile. Red earthenware, moulded in sunk relief and decorated with opaque white (tin), dark blue, turquoise-green and dark yellow glazes. Rectangular with a raised rim on the back. Queen Elizabeth I, standing facing three-quarters to the right within an archway, flanked by columns and surmounted by a winged putto head. Incised into the background to left and right of her head and shoulders are the words 'ELISABET. REGIN ANGLIA'. All within a raised frame.
