Gold case embossed with rococo decoration containing a glass scent bottle with gold mount and lid
Gold, glass and velvet; the gold case is approximately shield-shaped and has a hinged lid with small handle attached to the top and a metal ring. It is embossed and chased with an all-over rococo pattern of scrolls, shells and flowers. The interior of the base is lined with green velvet. The case contains a glass scent bottle (A), rectangular in section with cut corners, with gold rim mount and pull-off cover (B) with chain, which would probably have been attached to the roof of the lid.
