Description

Bone china transfer-printed and gilt. photographic portraits of Queen Alexandra and King Edward VII with a British lion, crown, roses, thistles and shamrocks, a flags.

Bone china with clear glaze, transfer-printed and gilt. Cylindrical with sloping sides, a horizontal ridge 2 cm below the slightly projecting rim, and a small harp-shaped handle. Decorated with coloured bust portraits of H.M. Queen Alexandra and H.M. King Edward VII titled on ribbons below in capital letters and a crown above them. Below at centre is a recumbent crowned lion flanked by sprays of roses, thistles, and shamrock, and by the Royal Arms on the Queen's side, and the Union Jack on the King's side. There are gold bands on the rim and horizontal ridge and a line down the back of the handle.
