Linen, embroidered with polychrome cotton threads initialled and dated MP 1956

Linen, embroidered with cotton polychrome threads in various cross stitches, double running, herringbone, pether satin, whipped, laid and couched, and eyelet stitches. A repeat double cross-stitch border encloses half and full bands of narrow repeat patterns with a centrally placed flower-pot motif at the bottom flanked by the initials MP and the date 1956.
