Earthenware, tin-glazed white on the upper surface and painted in manganese, blue, green and yellow. Within a circular medallion, framed by two concentric lines, a shepherd and a shepherdess, holding two branches, dancing among their sheep in a landscape; debased ox-head corners. Hole in lower left corner.
History note: Purchased from the Antiquarian Guild Limited, Carlton Street, London, S.W.1 on 2nd July, 1924 (Capt. A.L. Asheton).
