Short, crude iron barrel of round section with an integral pan and swivelling pan cover, back sight, short breech strap, slightly flaring muzzle with a moulding at the end of the stock, and bead fore sight. The stock is of pale wood, light and almost full length, with a round-ended paddle butt, rounded breech cap and two sets of woven leather barrel bands. The lock comprises a solid, block trigger attached by a simple linkage to a small serpentine
