Description

Long steel blade of square section chamfered with facets at the forte where there are the remains of double incised lines, made in one with a short socket which has a poor lapped weld up one side. The steel is pitted where is has been heavily corroded then polished bright

Notes

History note: From Ganjam. Probably from the Tanjore armoury, broken up in 1860 (see documentation Elgood 2004).
