Red-brown stoneware, thrown, with impressed decoration under greyish-white glaze which stops short of the base. Of tapering cylindrical form with an applied strap handle with a medial ridge and a thumbpiece near the top. The sides are decorated underglaze with two lightly impressed pairs of back to back spirals on stems with slanting lines between them, and below a horizontal line. A brown band encircles the rim
