Stove tile. Reddish earthenware, moulded in relief, tin-glazed greenish-white and painted in blue, green, yellow and manganese-brown. Rectangular with a rectangular projection at the back. Within a raised, moulded frame, two kneeling angels holding a scrolled frame containing the bust of a bearded man holding an orb or globe.
History note: Rev. G.A. Schneider, sold at Sotheby's, 4th June, 1942, European Ceramics and Glass comprising the interesting and extensive collection of the Rev. G.A. Schneider, lot 56.
