Description

Silver-gilt; lobed ovoid body and cover supported by a stem in the shape of a tree trunk with figure of a woodman, snail, frog and tortoise

Silver-gilt; the circular foot is embossed with a band of gadroons. The highly domed centre supports a stem in the shape of a tree trunk climbed by a scythe-holding woodman, a frog, snail and tortoise. At the top and base of the stem are borders of silver acanthus leaves. The ovoid body and interlocking cover are embossed with lobes. The urn-shaped finial is surmounted by a silver bunch of flowers.
