Dish with peony design. Stoneware, thrown, shaped, moulded, incised and combed, and celadon-glazed. The sides of this dish (chopsi) are angled above the foot and the rim has six notches corresponding with six indentations on the outside to evoke a floral shape. The interior is moulded with a large fully opened peony with incised outlines and combed veins, enclosed by an incised line. The bright bluish-green glaze has a fine net-like crackle. The body is very thin and the base shows quartzite spur-marks.
