Cup with lotus design. Stoneware, thrown, incised, and celadon-glazed. This cup has a rounded body and a flared foot. The centre inside is recessed and decorated with an incised chrysanthemum flower head. On the outside five sprays of lotus are finely incised. The pale bluish-green glaze is evenly applied, crackled and has a subtle gloss, the body is thin. The glaze has been wiped from the footring, which shows traces of fire-clay supports.
