Description

The steel blade is straight and double edged, with a pair of fullers towards the point bordered by an incised groove. Incised above these at either side are medallions with flower bud finials at either side, inscribed in gold overlay on the outside in Cyrillic 9/1890/19 ZP and on the inside Pezpr V Szparasov. The hilt is of bone, of waisted form attached by two rivets with silver heads decorated with niello, and copper alloy rosette washers. The scabbard is of wood covered in tan leather, with silver chape and top locket, both decorated in niello with sprays of flowers, the top locket with a band of turquoises and a loose suspension ring.
