Description

Small flower-shaped dish. Stoneware, thrown, shaped, and celadon-glazed. Probably Sadang-ri ware. This dish (chopsi) has an everted hexafoil barbed rim, which corre-sponds with twelve ridges round the inside and six indenta-tions on the outside. The foot is relatively high and the footring unevenly shaped. The flower shape of the rim is emphasised by barely visible carved outlines. The glaze is a pale bluish green and is covered with a fine crackle, now partly stained. There are three quartzite spur-marks on the base.
